CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION OF SCHOOLS IN AKS

Abandoned and dilapidated schools had been one of the major challenges of government untill the present Government of Governor Udom Emmanuel undertook the ongoing exercise on renovation, reconstruction or complete construction of schools across the state.

So far over 400 public schools have been rehabilitated and provided with necessary facilities and equipment towards ensuring a condusive learning and teaching environment for pupils, students and teachers across the state.

This sustained exercise by government, coupled with the free and compulsory qualitative education policy from primary to senior secondary school level, has trippled school enrollment in the state..

The Picture below, beamed to the world today are those of the "Before" and "After" completion work of an Office/ Classroom Block at St. John Primary School, Asong in Mkpat Enin LGA  ....

POPULAR AKWA IBOM RADIO PRESENTER, MARGARET ESHIET DEAD Popular radio presenter, Madam Margaret Eshiet is dead. She worked in Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC) and was a darling to teeming listeners of radio where she held sway as a goddess of the airwaves. She presented popular Ibibio program, "Sibaba Sibaba" on AKBC Radio. She retired from the employ of AKBC few years ago. According to family sources who spoke to Connoisseur.com.ng, the veteran MC was sick for some time before she finally died. She will be greatly missed. May her soul RIP. ©Connoisseur. com.ng
