POLITICS; CHIEF S. S OBOT RETURNS BACK TO ACTIVE POLITICS.

The former Leader of Zone A in ward II Central in Eket local government has officially returned to active politics with the People Democratic Party (PDP), in a public declaration, held at the palace of late HRM. Edidem (Dr) Timtiniko Enodien, in his home town.

In his declaration Chief Obot Aka (By the Grace of God's Motors), said he left active politic to join force with a traditional institution, but today the present political crisis in the state has brought him back as a stakeholder to support Udom Emmanuel in 2019.

Obot, in his speech made known to the people of Zone A in ward II central that his returning back fully into politics of the day, he is not coming back alone but with other followers from APC which have accepted to follow him because of his Christlike character and as a good leader to the zone.

According to Obot, he urge the defectors to follow the right path which is the people Democratic Party (PDP) to achieve a better government which will make Akwa Ibom more industrious in future.

The return of the leader Chieft Obot to active politics with PDP confirms the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari’s led-administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) do not have the welfare of Nigerians at heart, as they have continually offered flimsy excuses over the mindless killings that have caused untold sorrows across the country.

Obot, urged the zone to be rest assured that he will be accorded his dues and rights as a member of the PDP.

“He also buttresses the fact that PDP remains the viable platform for all Akwa Ibom people, that are desirous of rescuing our nation from the gross Mis-governance and authoritarianism exhibited by the APC-led administration,” Obot said.

"I have sat back and notice that APC have nothing to offer that is why I came back to inform my people that they should not be misled by any individual," he said.

He told jubilant crowd of PDP members and supporters that all hands must be on deck to get APC out of our political life , stressing that the tyrannical attitude being deployed on democratic institutions like the National Assembly and the opposition would not save the ruling APC from Nigerian voters who have been at the receiving end since 2015 and have made up their minds that enough is enough.

“ No amount of antics and harassment will discourage the PDP because we are doing the desires of Nigerians .
“ APC government has destroyed this country and make known life meaningless , we have no alternative than to kick them out , ” he said.

Councillor representing ward II central Hon. Akaninyene Tommey expressed joy over his reactivation in order to join force to deliver Udom.

Tommey made known to the people of zone A that, sustaining these strategies both at rebranding and regaining power would come at some cost for the PDP .

He urged all PDP stakeholders across the ward to make the required sacrifice and forge a united front to defeat the APC and Muhammadu Buhari government, declaring that all indicators in the polity are showing that the time is ripe for PDP to rise on behalf of the Nigerian people and take back their country from the voyage of destruction that the ruling All Progressives Congress is taking it to.

According to Tommey, the PDP will reposition the country on a true path to peace and prosperity via restructuring and the strengthening of critical national institutions of government, when Gov. Emmanuel returns to power in 2019 .

He asked party members to close rank and be prepared to send APC home.

According to her royal Majesty Comfort Enoiden , in her remarks said the mega rally which she was in the states to witness on TV  is one of the many mass mobilization process which received returnees to the party . She added that it will help to mobilize members into the rebranded PDP ahead of 2019 .

Enoiden comment that the PDP rallies are eye openers of what the future holds for the PDP in the country , particularly in view of the massive defections to the PDP from the ruling APC that the rallies exposed is another matter

"God brought udom to salvage the state," Her royal Majesty Comfort Enoiden said.

Beyond its scheming for 2019 , analysts believe that PDP ’ s ability to retain a united front will remain a major arsenal going into the general election .
