HOUSE OF REP ASPIRANT PROMISES BETTER PRESENTATION.

An aspirant for a seat in the House of Representatives from Onna, Oniong East in Eket Senatorial district under the platform of PDP, Hon.(Prince) Bassey Akpan Willie has vowed to transform his constituency and protect the interest of his people if elected.

Willie, who made the promise during a consultation with councillors in the Senatorial district at the Distinction Point Hotel banquet Hall today , said he would be a good ambassador for Eket Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

He added that the time of using ethnocentrism and religion in politics was over.

Earlier, the campaign director Bassey Willie campaign team. Tagged, Redemption Team 2019. The Supervisor for Education Onna local government Council, Hon Jephthah Sambo , had described the candidate as credible, reliable and capable.

has assured the Councillors of Onna and Esit Eket local government area of his constituency that he will sponsor people oriented bills and ensure that matters that have positive impact on their lives are pursued vigorously if given their mandate at the 2019 general elections.

The green Chamber hopeful , who stated this while declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives from Eket Federal Constituency,   said he meant well for the people, his constituency, saying that this necessitated him to join the race.

He noted that though, he cannot do it alone despite having resources on ground, stressing that he needs support and cooperation of all electorates in the constituency to achieve his goal.

His words, “I don’t just want to go out and be campaigning without consulting you the councillors in the Eket federal Senatorial district. I must let you know my plans and my manifestoes. It will be a slap on your face if I did not consult you first, which I will never do.

“I am very loyal and humble. I must tell you that, I have contributed to my society by investing there. I have many staff working under me and staff welfare have been uppermost. So, I intend to bring my private business experience into politics”.

“Part of my program is youth development, community support and empowerment. I know there are lots of people that have promised us and failed. We can no longer accept been cheated again, because we don’t elect the right people to represent us, and all of their promises which is our needs, they don’t get them done when they get to office”,Willie said.

“I promise to represent the constituency very well and I will deliver all my promises, if given the mandate. The love many people are showing is very awesome and beyond my imagination, this makes me know that I stand one hundred per cent”.

“I want to appeal to all Nigerians to register for their permanent voter’s card (PVC) and they should not be deceived when elections come. They should open their eyes very well to choose the right candidates into offices.”

While welcoming the aspirant and his entourage at the consultation, Hon. Daniel Edet Akpe who represented the Leader of the Eist Eket legislative urged the aspirant to conduct his campaign with humility and in a gentle manner, saying that sky is the limit for young political aspirants who are getting set to lead Eket Federal Senatorial district in the next political dispensation.

He advised him to shun violence and any other criminal tendencies during his campaign exercise. Saying "we present here are product of zoning and the Eket Federal House member in the constituency is zone to Onna and which i know Oniong East as been marginalised in the politics of the day for sometimes now but the time is now. And I am ready to support your ambition comes 2019 and our dear Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel for reelection comes 2019".

Furthermore, Hon. Comfort Okon Henshaw from Esit Eket commented that from what she as heard about the aspirant gives her a strong ground to canvas support to see he succeed in the race.

Mrs Henshaw, urge Hon. Willie to support the women of the constituency when elected into office.

During the Consultation. Willie, advice the councillors to drum their support for our son Mr Udom Emmanuel reelection and should not allow anything wear them down. " The defection of the former Governor Godswill Akpabio can not affect the people Democratic Party (PDP) in any way comes 2019. Akwa Ibom State is PDP", Willie said.

Hon. Friday Edem gave vote of thanks and thank the councilors for turning out massively for the Consultation even in a short while, Edem urged the people to support and canvas for Gov.Udom Emmanuel for second team. Saying "Udom Emmanuel must complete his eight years in office till 2023".
