Breaking: Journalist, Edifon Solomon shot by gun men.

Edifon Solomon, Media aide to Special Adviser, Bureau of Political/Legislative Affairs and Water Resources, Barr. Ekong Sampson has been shot.

Solomon is responding to treatment at a private hospital having sustained injuried from a gunshot in a church this evening in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.

wife, said while the service was going on, a gunshot fired inside the church, went to the direction of her husband and hit him.

She said the incident resulted in the worshippers running helter skelter, with the victim rushed to the hospital.

Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Odiko MacDon said investigation into the matter has begun..

POPULAR AKWA IBOM RADIO PRESENTER, MARGARET ESHIET DEAD Popular radio presenter, Madam Margaret Eshiet is dead. She worked in Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC) and was a darling to teeming listeners of radio where she held sway as a goddess of the airwaves. She presented popular Ibibio program, "Sibaba Sibaba" on AKBC Radio. She retired from the employ of AKBC few years ago.
